ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the plea of Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal vawda to stay the proceedings in the disqualification case. Justice Amir Farooq remarked that he would not grant stay. We will decide after looking at the record of the Election Commission. Don't play hide and seek with the court, these things are of no use.
Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed by Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal vawda for disqualification. The court rejected the petition of Faisal Wawda's case and issued notice to the parties. Justice Amir Farooq said that he will not stay, the court has decided that they will decide after looking at the record of the Election Commission. Expressing anger over Wawda's lawyer for not submitting reply, Justice Amir Farooq asked why the reply was not submitted despite a clear order. Don't play hide and seek with the court, these things are of no use.
When the lawyer of the petitioner addressed the lawyer of the petitioner Jahangir Jadoon on behalf of the Federal Minister, the court expressed great anger for the second time against the lawyer of Faisal Wawda. Justice Amir Farooq said that you have to address him or the court, is it your first time Appearing in the High Court, don't make fun of the court proceedings. You are doing the same in the Election Commission and here too. Faisal Wawda must have taken a stand in the Election Commission that the case cannot go on here. The lawyer of the Election Commission told the court. All the records including the nomination papers of Faisal Wawda have been submitted to the court by the Election Commission. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till November 12.
