Afghanistan: TV anchor killed in car blast

A former TV anchor has been killed in an IED blast in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
According to the Associated Press, the explosives were planted in the car of well-known TV anchor Emma Siavash. Two other people were also killed in the blast. The bomber struck shortly after 7:45 p.m.
According to police, the blast took place in Police District 9. The other two people killed in the blast could not be immediately identified.
According to security officials, an investigation has been launched into the incident. According to eyewitnesses, Emma Siawash was near her home when the car suddenly exploded.
Immediately after the blast, Emma's father and brother arrived at the scene, and the car was engulfed in flames. The blast was so severe that all three occupants of the vehicle died on the spot.
It should be noted that Emma Siavash was associated with the Afghan news channel Tolo and used to host political programs.
