Afghan forces claim to have captured the "mastermind" of the attack.
Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh announced on his Facebook page the arrest of the mastermind behind the Kabul University attack, saying the main suspect, Adil, belonged to the Haqqani Network.
Kabul University attack kills 19 students
The attacker told Afghan forces that the attack was aimed at weakening the government.
Accused Adil was from the Afghan province of Panjshir and was a student of Islamic Sharia law.
It should be noted that 19 students were killed and more than 22 were injured in the attack on Kabul University. Forces also retaliated by killing three assailants. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
