The government has announced to provide 25% cheaper electricity to industries for the next 3 years

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to provide electricity to all types of industries at 25% lower cost to promote industrialization and increase exports in the country.

Giving a news briefing along with federal ministers and finance advisers in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that electricity generated in Pakistan is 25 per cent more expensive than the electricity supplied to industrialists in India and Bangladesh with which our exports are competitive.
Explaining the reason for high cost of electricity, the Prime Minister said that unfortunately expensive contracts for power generation were signed which caused many problems in the country and one problem is that our industry is competing with low cost industries. Can't
"From 2013 to 2018, our exports began to decline rather than increase, falling from 25 25 billion to 20 20 billion," he said.
