However he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Donald Trump's government, but said that maintaining some independence was important for Afghanistan. There is likely to be a large US military presence there, the newly elected president will not announce an immediate reduction.

Responding to a question from Urdu News, he said that it was very welcome that the newly elected President and Vice President of the United States have been very positive about the issue of Kashmir, both in the ongoing atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
