Federal Cabinet meeting: Decision not to close businesses, schools and industries

ISLAMABAD: (November 03, 2020) Prime Minister Imran Khan, referring to the Corona situation in the country, said that businesses, schools and industries will not be closed, Corona SOPs must be strictly implemented.

According to details, a meeting of the federal cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The meeting considered a nine-point agenda including the political and economic situation in the country. The federal cabinet was informed in a detailed briefing on the latest situation in Corona that Corona cases are on the rise, deaths are on the rise and the number of patients on ventilators is increasing.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Corona SOPs must be strictly implemented, businesses, schools and industries will not be closed, people should be provided maximum awareness, the country's economy has been handled with great difficulty.
The nominations and changes of the Postal Life Insurance Board of Directors are part of the agenda while the Federal Cabinet approved the Jammu and Kashmir State Property Budget for the establishment of Telecom Applet Tribunal, Fiscal Year 2020-21. The meeting also approved the appointment of Presiding Officers of the Courts in GB and the summary of extension of deputation of Presiding Officer of Special Court Banks Peshawar was postponed.
The cabinet meeting also approved the visitor management policy while the cabinet also ratified the decisions of the ECC on October 21. The reconstitution of the Board of Directors of Pak Arab Refinery Limited was also approved.
