In view of the increasing cases of the epidemic during the second wave of corona virus, it was decided to impose a complete lockdown in Azad Kashmir for 15 days from November 20.
The Azad Kashmir cabinet was informed in a briefing that the situation in Karuna was reaching dangerous levels on which the cabinet decided to impose a complete lockdown which would last from November 20 to December 5.
The cabinet has decided that markets and educational centers will remain completely closed during the lockdown and weddings and other celebrations will also be banned.
It was also decided that religious gatherings and funeral prayers would be held under the full SOP and 50 per cent attendance would be maintained in government offices.
