Riyadh: Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman Talal al-Shahlob has said that the country will be locked down whenever needed. The decision will be applied on the recommendation of the relevant committee.
According to the Arab website Sabq Web, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry was asked at a press conference about security arrangements in the event of a second wave of corona virus.
The spokesman said that the weather was changing at the moment. The summer season is over and the winter season has begun. Some people have started neglecting safety measures.
He said that the security agencies have noticed a good thing that the corona prevention has become socially strong. On the other hand, the negative situation is emerging that the way SOPs were being banned, people are now starting to fail.
Many people have stopped wearing protective masks, while violations are also taking place with regard to celebrations.
The spokesman added that all people, whether individuals or institutions, should take precautionary measures, remembering that the return of normalcy does not mean that the danger has been averted. Everyone has a duty to fulfill their responsibility.
