RAWALPINDI: A Russian contingent has reached Pakistan to take part in Pak-Russia joint military exercises.

The Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) as saying that joint military exercises between Pakistan and Russia would be held in Daruzba-5, Pakistan. Joint military exercises between the two countries will continue for the next two weeks.

ISPR DG Major General Babar Iftikhar, referring to the joint military exercises between the two countries, said that the exercises would exchange counter-terrorism experiences.

According to DG ISPR, the first exercise titled Drozba was held in Pakistan in 2016 and the second in 2017.

According to ISPR chief Major General Babar Iftikhar, the third and fourth exercises were conducted in Russia in 2018 and 2019.

ISPR as saying that sky diving and hostage-taking operations are a special aspect of the joint military exercises.
