The Minister of Manpower of the Gulf state of Saudi Arabia has approved an amendment to the Labor Law, after which foreign workers will be able to change jobs under certain conditions.

After the amendment in the law, foreign employees are empowered to work from one employer to another but the other employer is willing to give employment.
The foreign worker is entitled to employment with another employer upon termination of the certified employment contract without the approval of the current employer.
In accordance with section 77 of the labor law, the foreign worker will be allowed to work for the new employer conditionally without the approval of the existing employer, but the new employer must give notice to the existing employer three months before the employment. The contract will expire later.
