The two districts include Diamer and Astor. The total number of registered voters in Gilgit-Baltistan is 745,361, of which the number of male voters is 45,063 while the number of female voters is 339,998.26,997 voters are exercising their franchise for the first time. The total number of polling stations in Gilgit-Baltistan is 1,260 out of which 503 are male polling stations, 395 are female polling stations and 362 are joint polling stations.
