Zimbabwe won the first T20 match against Pakistan at Rawalpindi Stadium and decided to bat first. Pakistan gave the league cap to league spinner Usman Qadir Koti. Muhammad Hafeez returned. Khushdal Shah, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf along with Faheem Ashraf were included. Captain Chamochabhabhane started Zimbabwe's innings with Brendon Taylor.
