LAHORE: Chief Justice Qasim Khan has banned inspection judges, including the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, from giving any kind of gifts by session judges and senior civil judges during their visits to courts in different districts of Punjab.

 On the orders of Chief Justice Qasim Khan, a copy of the notification was sent to the Sessions and Senior Civil Judges of the province. The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court is continuing to take effective measures to alleviate the plight of sailan and lawyers, but is also making historic decisions at the administrative level.

There has been a long-standing tradition in Punjab that if the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court or any judge of the Lahore High Court visited any district as an inspection judge, he would be received there with dignity and then when the esteemed Lahore High Court When the Justice returned from his visit, he was rewarded with valuable gifts from the District Judiciary.

Chief Justice Qasim Khan put an end to this tradition and banned Sessions Judges and Senior Civil Judges from giving any kind of gifts on the occasion of the arrival of a High Court Judge. After the approval of Chief Justice Qasim Khan, a copy of the notification was sent to all the judges.

The lawyers appreciated the steps taken by Chief Justice Qasim Khan and said that banning such tradition would strengthen the institution. The lawyers also said that such steps of Chief Justice Qasim Khan have raised the bar of justice.
