Islamabad High Court rejects petition against appointment of NADRA chairman Usman Mobin
Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court heard the case against the appointment of NADRA Chairman Usman Mubeen. During the hearing, Deputy Attorney General Raja Khalid Mahmood appeared on behalf of the federation while Hafiz Arafat Advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner.
Announcing the decision on the appointment of NADRA Chairman, Justice Amir Farooq said that according to the advertisement, Usman Mubeen was appointed keeping in view all the conditions.
It may be recalled that the petitioner's counsel had taken the position that the appointment of Chairman Usman Mubeen was not in accordance with the law.
The Islamabad High Court had reserved its verdict on August 13.
Usman Mubeen was first appointed in 2015 under the PML-N government and in 2018 he was appointed for another 3 years.
