ISLAMABAD: According to a medical study, people who eat dried fruits live longer. According to a study published in the medical journal New England Journal of Medicine, eating nuts on a daily basis is more beneficial.

According to a medical study conducted in the United States, people who eat dried fruits may not have a healthy lifestyle, but regular consumption of dried fruits plays an important role in their longevity. The study looked at 120,000 people over a 30-year period, and concluded that people who ate dried fruit regularly had lower mortality rates.

According to statistics, people who eat dried fruits once a week have an 11% lower chance of dying. According to the report, this rate has been 14% among those who eat dried fruits four times a week and 20% among those who do it daily.

Researcher Dr. Charles Fish says that regular consumption of dried fruits can reduce the risk of dying from heart disease by 29% and the risk of dying from cancer by 11%. The British Heart Foundation says more research is needed.
