Pakistan's revenue exceeds expenditure, says financial adviser

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has said that Pakistan's revenue has exceeded its expenditure in the last four months. Apart from the budget, the government has not given any supplementary grants to anyone, including defense.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Hafeez Sheikh clarified that if the past debts are counted, Pakistan's budget is still in deficit but there has been no increase in Pakistan's debts during the last four months. In June, Pakistan's debt was 36.4 trillion. Same until the end of October.
He said that one of the reasons for non-increase in loans was that the government did not give any supplementary grant to anyone other than the budget. Even defense spending remained unchanged. The Prime Minister's House and the Presidency were also limited to the budget. The second reason is the appreciation of the rupee.
The finance adviser said the government was trying to create jobs to bring the effects of the economic recovery to the people. Packaged the construction industry for this purpose. Now we are seeing progress in this field. With this, a successful youth program was launched in which loans of up to Rs 100 billion can be given to the youth for business. At the same time, development projects were launched in the public sector, especially in the backward areas.
He said the government's priority is to increase domestic production. This results in increased employment. At the same time, the international community is moving forward. From July to October, foreign investment reached 733 million, up 10 percent from the same period last year.
