Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the second match to win the three-match ODI series.
In the match played in Rawalpindi, Zimbabwe batted first and gave Pakistan a target of 206 runs which the national team achieved in 35.2 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.
For the national team, captain Babar Azam played an unbeaten innings of 77 runs while opener Imam-ul-Haq returned to the pavilion with 49 runs. For Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed bowled five wickets against Zimbabwe, which is his career best bowling.
2 changes were made in the national team. Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar became the umpire who supervised most ODIs. This is the 210th ODI of his umpiring career.
The visitors were bowled out for 206 in 45.1 overs. Zimbabwe's Sean Williams played an innings of 75 runs. Brendon Taylor was dismissed for 36 and Brian Chari for 25. For Pakistan, Musa Khan took two wickets, Faheem Ashraf, Haris Rauf and Emad Wasim took one wicket each.
Harris Sohail dropped out of the team due to injury. After which, all-rounder was replaced by young batsman Haider Ali in the 15-member squad. After which he is making his debut today. Senior player Wahab Riaz has been replaced by Musa Khan.
Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said that vice-captain Shadab Khan would be rested in the second ODI as well.
