Washington: Newly elected US President Joe Biden has made a new history in the country's politics. He has the honor of being elected the oldest president of the United States, while he has previously been elected the youngest senator of the United States.

Joe Biden, who has been active in American politics for the past five decades, was just 29 years old when he was elected senator from Delaware in 1972. He has been elected senator six times in his entire political life.

Now that Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States, he is 77 years old, which is a record. He has defeated 74-year-old US President Donald Trump in the presidential election.

Newly elected US President Joe Biden has twice served as US Vice President. He held the position under Barack Obama.

Interestingly, Senator Bernie Sanders, who resigned in favor of Biden, was said to be elderly. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Biden's intervention, who is only two years younger. Bernie Sanders is 79 years old.
