Funeral prayers of Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were offered at Regent's Park Mosque in London.
In London, 30 people were allowed to attend funeral prayers under the Corona Lockdown Act. Nawaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz, Salman Shahbaz, Ali Dar and Ali Imran and other family members attended the funeral prayers.
The body of late Shamim Akhtar has been flown to Pakistan on British Airways flight BA 0259.
On the other hand, PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb had earlier said that the body of late Begum Shamim Akhtar would reach Pakistan on Saturday morning.
PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said that the time and place of funeral prayers would be announced soon.
