Administration and Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalawani has directed all Deputy Commissioners to strictly implement SOPs in the context of the second wave of corona virus and also to take action against those who do not wear masks.
Citizens who do not wear masks in public places will be fined up to Rs. 1,000, he said.
Earlier, a meeting of Karuna Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in which Nasir Shah, Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary, IG and others participated.
The Chief Minister Sindh said that at present the cases of corona virus are increasing in Karachi and Hyderabad. SOPs should be strictly enforced everywhere.
Murad Ali Shah said that where Karuna SOPs are not followed, strict action should be taken and masks should be worn in shopping malls, educational institutions and restaurants.
Today (Friday) 30 patients died of corona virus in Pakistan while 1376 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The condition of 830 patients across the country is critical.
