Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has released a list of 1,210 most wanted or high profile terrorists.
Law enforcement wanted 737 people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 161 from Punjab, 122 from Balochistan, 100 from Sindh, 32 from Islamabad, 30 from Gilgit-Baltistan and 28 from the FIA.
The wanted men on the list include MQM founder Altaf Hussain, former MQM leader Muhammad Anwar and Iftikhar Hussain in connection with the September 2010 assassination of Dr Imran Farooq in London.
At least 11 Lashkar-e-Taiba members are on the list for their involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks in India, and the list also includes N-League member Nasir Mahmood, who recorded a video confession of former accountability court judge Arshad Malik. included.
Most of the individuals on the list belong to religious and militant organizations, including Al Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan, Imamia Student Organization, Jundullah, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar-e-Islam, Jaish-e-Muhammad and other banned organizations.
Most of the terrorists listed by the FIA are overseas, including Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and the United Kingdom.
